Everyday Make-up Bag

Short but sweet.
10 Make-Up products I carry with me everywhere for an everyday look.
Before I start I should explain that I travel a lot. I split my week in 3 by staying at either my Dads, Mums or my boyfriends. I'm never at a house for more than two or 3 days, so I always carry my basic make-up with me everywhere. So this is probably different from other peoples "What's in my Make-Up Bag" posts.

Cosmetic Bag by Cath Kidston.
This make-up bag, bought for my by my beautiful sister, is perfect as it fits all my essentials and doesn't take up much room!

Base!

I only carry around 1 brush with me and it's the Real Techniques stippling brush. I use it for my concealer, foundation and powder so it's a great multi-tool.
I use Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection concealer to cover redness and blemishes and I use my MAC Select MoistureCover Concealer around my eyes and over drier areas.
I chop and change my foundation constantly, this week I've been carrying around Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Foundation.
Powder is nothing special, It's Rimmel Clear Complexion pressed powder.

Eyes!

In my March Favourites I wrote about how much I love L'oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim eye-liner. Winged liner has currently replaced eye-shadow in my daily make-up, because I'm too lazy for both.
The mascara I'm currently carrying is L'oreal Volume Million Lashes in Extra Black. I tend to change mascara all the time between this and Clinique High Impact.  They're both fantastic.

Now that I have a fringe I spend less time on my eyebrows so I'm currently using Rimmel London Eyebrow Pencil in Black/Brown. This saves space too as I don't need a brush anymore.
Despite them being covered, I still check my brows everyday and carry tweezers with me everywhere.
I don't know why.
My father brought these back from a spa in New Zealand for me. It pains me to say they're the best tweezers I've ever used and I'm sorry I can't lead you to where to find them.

Lips!

I also wrote about this in my March Favourites it's the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in shade Honey. I actually tend to just throw this in my handbag and apply it on the go. I change what lip product I carry around probably weekly because I like a bold lip, but this is great for on the go (which it seems I always am). It also saves me from carrying round a lip balm too.

Hope this post was helpful, maybe a good idea on packing light for travelling?

I'll be uploading another post this week on my larger Make-Up Bag for different looks.
What do you carry round with you?

March Favourites

I don't do favourites on a monthly basis but for once I'm sat at my laptop with free time!
Amazing.
I also have lots of new products that I've been taking full advantage of in March. So, why not?
Just please, do not expect this every month for the rest of time.

Blush

Feel free to ignore me playing peek-a-boo in the mirror.
This is a Sleek blush in the shade Life's a Peach. It looks a little scary in the pan but a small amount goes a long way and it comes out softer! I love Sleek products and this is just the perfect shade for Spring!

Eye shadow

If I did a monthly favourites post, which I don't, this would probably be in it every month! I won't go on about it because every beauty blogger in the universe has posted about this, and probably done it better. But for those of you that live under rocks, this is the perfect neutral pallet that goes straight from day to night make-up.

Eye Liner

Since getting a full fringe cut and crushing all over Zooey Deschanel, haha, I've started getting back into winged eyeliner. For this I'm using L'oreal Paris Super Liner, Perfect Slim. It's literally like a felt pen and makes it really easy to use. It lasts really well too.

Skin

I featured this in a blog post a while ago but didn't mention much about it. It's the MAC Select MoistureCover Concealer. It really is incredible for dry skin. I use it around my eyes and over redness and it brightens my skin and is really moisturising. I now use it every day and love it.

Lips

I've had this for a while and fallen back in love with it. It's a MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in the colour New Temptation. The picture isn't a really good representation of the colour, it's a bright blue-red, obviously with a sheen finish. I really love it because you can get different and still beautiful shades of colour depending on how much you apply. It's a really nice Raspberry Red if you apply a small amount with your finger. It's also incredibly moisturising.

I've also really been liking the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. It's a moisturising balm with a lovely colour that stains and lasts. Mine is in the shade Honey and I'm surprised by how often I wear it. I'm normally one for bright lips but this is a pinky nude and looks like my lips but better. It's quick and easy for on the go to so it's been in my handbag the whole of March.

What were your favourites this month?

Beauty Haul

Gosh, and now it's April!
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and, like me, have glorious food babies from all the chocolate!
In between scoffing Easter eggs (actually, my mum bought me an Easter caterpillar!?) I've been spending all my pennies. Here's a little haul on all the beauty products I've picked up recently!
Who else went completely mental over the boots 3 for 2 Mix and Match?

Hair products!

Firstly, I picked up this Dry Shampoo by Toni&Guy. Recently I've been experimenting with dry shampoo's to find something other than Batiste. I'd heard lots of good things about the TRESemmé one and, for reasons I can't describe, I don't really like it.
I really like this Toni&Guy range (I also stocked up on my shampoo's and conditioners, from my Haircare Favoruites) so I'm hopefull this will be it!

Also from Toni&Guy I picked up their Sea Salt Texturising Spray. I love sea salt sprays, especially in the summer. My last one had run out and probably because it was a cheaper brand, it dried out my hair more than it should. So far I'm really enjoying this.

You know that I love using coconut oil and rave about how good it is as a hair mask, but this sat on the shelf, softly calling my name and I had to go buy it.So far, so good. I use one pump just over my ends so that they're smoother when dry and it's a really good product.

Skincare!

Picked up this intense moisturiser from Vichy. I'm fairly sure the product name is "Vichy Nutrilogie 1 Intensive for Dry Skin". Wow, catchy right?
I think it's too soon to say if this is a life changing product, I'm trying lots of intensive moisturisers at the moment because my dry skin is just not improving. Any recommendations?

So this is a little weird but I thought I'd include it anyway. I absolutely love Piz Buin sun screens but they are pricey! They're currently under half price at Superdrug though so I stocked up for my Summer holiday.  I'm an extremely pale English rose, and these definitely help me tan. They also feel nice on the skin and have a nice smell to them.
I was tempted to pick up a spray one too but had never tried them - anyone know if they're better?

Make-up!

I picked up the new Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquers, the red in 400 Big Bang and the other 301 Galaxy. I can't quite make up my mind on these. I was expecting them to be like the Maybelline Superstay 24hour Lip Colour (which I love love love). In ways they are, they're quite a good stain but I don't think they last as long as the Maybelline ones. I really like the finish as it's a gloss but not sticky. I also really like the shade Big Bang, I love my reds and this is a lovely colour. Hmmm, I'm just not sure.

Lastly, I picked up the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. I don't think this is a life changing product, but I do like it. I'm a girl where if I don't have fancy plans, I will happily not wear foundation. This is a good, light product for those days when wearing my expensive high end foundation would be a waste. It's like a your skin but better product and it's just nice really.
S'nice is the word.

So there you have it! Is it bad I don't consider that to be a lot?
What have you been trying lately, let me know!
